Bluebell & Willow began back in 2018. Joanne was off on maternity leave and knew her current career in Pharmaceuticals wasn't going to be possible around the hours and childcare. She began to look into alternatives when in January 2018, 19 Ballynahinch St in Hillsborough became available. A complete change of career Joanne threw herself into learning how to own & run a retail business and with the help with her joiner husband, opened the doors to Bluebell & willow on their son Luke's First birthday in June 2018. The bricks & mortar store grew rapidly and when Covid hit in 2020 it had added the online store. In Septebmer 2020 Joanne had her second child Charlotte and continued to juggle shop & mum life. Surviving covid & quickly followed by the cost of living crisis, Joanne slowly fell out of love with the store and with online sales increasing it was time to move to an e-commerce only shop. It was with great saddness that July 2024 saw the last customer through the doors in Hillsborough but Bluebell & Willow remains and has it very own little cabin in the countryside where we welcome old friends & new!
